Membership management rebuilt: WooCommerce & MemberPress for ÖVG
For the Austrian Transportation Science Society (ÖVG), we migrated several hundred memberships out of a grown legacy system and automated payment reminders end to end — working alongside offroad communications as brand and design partner.
A grown membership system reaching its limits
ÖVG managed its memberships through a legacy system that was straining under its own growth. Payment reminders had to be sent by hand, and the existing member data wasn't in a shape that could simply be dropped into a modern system.

A custom script reads the data out of the legacy system, cleans it up, and transfers it into the new membership setup in a structured way.

Each membership level, with its own access to working groups and content, was mapped in MemberPress.
WooCommerce for dues and billing
Membership fees and payments now run centrally through WooCommerce instead of scattered manual processes.
Automated payment reminders
Individual emails automatically remind members of outstanding dues — no manual follow-up required.
