A Real Estate Platform with OpenImmo Sync and Custom Property Search

Maintaining 400 listings by hand wasn't an option

An Austrian real estate company wanted to turn an existing website into a full-featured real estate platform. Around 120 rental listings and 250 for-sale listings needed to be reliably pulled from the existing property system and presented clearly.

Duplicate data entry was looming

Maintaining listings by hand directly in WordPress would have meant duplicate work, outdated information, and inconsistent data.

A custom property search was required

The client needed its own property search that fit entirely into the existing corporate design — not a swappable off-the-shelf widget.

Inquiries had to reach the right person

Property inquiries needed to land automatically with the responsible agent, not get collected in one central inbox.

Roughly 400 listings in scope

The sheer volume of rental and for-sale listings had to be handled reliably, without duplicate data entry.

A WordPress integration that connects directly to the property system

We built a custom WordPress integration connecting the existing property management system to the website. Listings stay maintained centrally in the leading system and are transferred to WordPress via the OpenImmo data format.

  1. 01

Transfer data in the OpenImmo format

The existing property system provides listing data to WordPress in the open OpenImmo format.

  2. 02

    Process listings with WP-ImmoMakler

WP-ImmoMakler processes the transferred data and automatically matches photos, prices, floor areas, availability, and contact persons to the right listings.

  3. 03

    Build a custom property search

A dedicated search for rent or purchase, postal code, district, room count, and other criteria was built to match the corporate design.

  4. 04

Add a map view and favorites

An interactive map view and personal favorites were added as additional ways to discover listings.

  5. 05

    Set up dynamic contact forms

Property inquiries automatically include the correct listing reference and are routed to the responsible contact person.

  6. 06

    Make it fully responsive

Search, map view, and listing pages were made equally usable on desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Let's discuss your technical integration

We build a reliable connection between your property system, WordPress, and property search.

A custom platform instead of an off-the-shelf real estate plugin

The result is a custom-built real estate platform that processes and presents around 400 rental and for-sale listings from the existing property system — with no duplicate data entry.

01

No more duplicate data entry

WordPress and the leading property system work together via OpenImmo sync instead of data being entered twice.

02

Inquiries automatically reach the right person

Property inquiries already include the necessary listing reference, shortening internal handling and preventing unnecessary forwarding.

03

Targeted prioritization is possible

Selected listings can be featured as top listings without having to maintain every listing on the website by hand.

04

A better search experience for prospects

Custom filters, map view, and favorites make it easier for prospects to find the right listing themselves.
